Figures use CSC results-publication counts. Passing rates shown above are calculated as passers divided by examinees and rounded to two decimal places. Where earlier CSC turnout reports differed from later results publications, the later results-publication figures are used.
The numbers tell a simple story: passing the Civil Service Exam is achievable, but it should not be taken lightly.
Across these six exam schedules, the lowest passing rate was 14.40% and the highest was 18.72%. Combined, approximately 16.20% of exam sittings resulted in a passing result.
That does not mean you have only a 16% personal chance of passing. These historical statistics describe groups of examinees, not your individual probability of success.
Your preparation is something you can control.
